NabarangpurAug 6 [UDN}: As part of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls being conducted under the directions of the Election Commission of India, the draft voter lists have been published at the respective polling stations. In this regard, the Nabarangpur Municipality has appealed to all citizens to actively participate in the verification process and ensure the accuracy of the electoral rolls.
In a video message, Dr. Ashok Karna, Executive Officer of Nabarangpur Municipality, urged all voters to carefully check whether their own names, as well as the names of every eligible member of their family, are included in the voter list. He emphasized that every eligible citizen should verify their voter registration to avoid any inconvenience during future elections.
Dr. Karna further stated that if the name of any eligible voter is missing from the electoral roll, or if there are any errors in personal details such as name, age, address, or other information, the concerned individual should immediately contact the designated election officials. They should collect the required application forms, fill them out accurately with the correct details, attach the necessary supporting documents, and submit them within the prescribed time frame so that the required corrections or additions can be made.
The municipality has appealed to all residents to cooperate with the electoral revision exercise, as maintaining an accurate and updated voter list is essential for ensuring free, fair, and transparent elections and safeguarding every eligible citizen’s democratic right to vote.
