The first meeting of the state-level committee constituted to oversee the implementation of the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2026 was held under the chairpersonship of Odisha Chief Secretary Anu Garg.

The meeting placed special emphasis on the effective implementation of the rules to ensure environmental protection and promote the development of a clean, healthy and sustainable environment across the state.
