Subarnarekha River Flood Situation Remains Critical as Authorities Intensify Rescue and Relief Operations

Bhubaneswar,Sept 9 [UDN}:A flood situation continues to prevail in the Subarnarekha River, and people need to remain alert and cautious.

The Chief Engineer of the Water Resources Department issued a warning during a press briefing, stating that the river is currently flowing above the danger level and that the water level is continuing to rise.

According to the Chief Engineer, the river is likely to remain above the danger mark until at least tomorrow evening. The areas of Jaleswar, Bhograi, Basta and Baliapal are expected to be affected by the rising water level and flood situation.

The Chief Engineer further stated that no other river in the state is currently facing a flood situation.

The water level of the Budhabalanga River had risen earlier, but it has now started receding.

Similarly, there is currently no flood situation in the Mahanadi River. With rainfall decreasing, the overall situation is gradually improving.
