Suposhit Odisha Mission Training Conducted at Nabarangpur Women’s Degree College, Highlighting the Importance of Nutrition, Healthy Living and Social Awareness

Nabarangpur:Sept 11 [UDN}: A training camp on the ‘Suposhit Odisha Mission’ was organized by the National Service Scheme (NSS) at Nabarangpur Women’s Degree College under the chairpersonship of College Principal Ms. Maleswari Sahu.

District Nutrition Programme Coordinator Hemraj Dandasena, along with Anganwadi Supervisors Bhavani Pujari and Sabita Upasi, participated in the programme and trained NSS volunteers on various aspects of child nutrition monitoring. The volunteers were taught how to measure children’s weight using weighing machines, accurately record the collected data, and prepare proper reports based on the information.

District Nodal Officer Binod Bihari Pradhan explained the objectives of the Suposhit Odisha Mission and highlighted the important role of volunteers in ensuring the effective implementation of the programme.

College Principal Ms. Sahu emphasized that the younger generation has a crucial role to play in creating awareness about nutrition and promoting healthy practices in society.

NSS Programme Officer Ms. Sunita Patra spoke about the importance of developing a sense of social responsibility through community service and stressed the need for active participation by volunteers in such initiatives.

A large number of NSS volunteers actively participated in the training camp and received practical guidance on nutrition-related activities and data collection.
