The cultivation of perennial green fodder helps reduce cattle feed expenses while increasing the productivity and profitability of dairy farming.

Bhubaneswar,  July 13 [UDN}:  A milch cow requires 10 to 15 kilograms of green fodder every day. This helps improve the cow’s health and increases milk production. Under the Chief Minister’s Kamadhenu Scheme, assistance is being provided for the cultivation of perennial green fodder throughout the year. This not only reduces cattle feed expenses but also helps make the livelihood of dairy farmers more prosperous and sustainable.
