TN Gas Leak: 3 Odia Workers’ Bodies Brought Home

Keonjhar / Bhubaneswar, June 27: The mortal remains of three Odia migrant workers who died in the ammonia gas leak incident in Tamil Nadu’s Tiruvallur district were brought back to their native villages in Keonjhar on Saturday.

The deceased have been identified as Rita Juang of Tangiri village, Sumitra Juang of Pitanali village, and Dipanjali Juang of Tala Raidihi village. All three belonged to the Juang tribal community.

The bodies were received by grieving family members and villagers, with the region mourning the untimely deaths of the young workers.

The incident took place on June 21 at a seafood processing unit in Tamil Nadu, where several migrant workers were present at the time of the gas leak.

Authorities are continuing to extend support to the bereaved families following the tragedy.
