Bhubaneswar, Sept 24 [UDN}:TP Southern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPSODL) has launched a Solar Rath in Ganjam district as part of its efforts to expand public awareness about the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana and encourage more households to adopt rooftop solar power.
The Solar Rath was formally flagged off by Ganjam Collector V. Keerthi Vasan and Amit Kumar Garg, Chief Executive Officer of TPSODL.
As part of the awareness campaign, the Solar Rath will travel through various parts of Ganjam district and interact with residents to provide information about the benefits of the PM Surya Ghar scheme. The campaign will also educate people about the government subsidy available for rooftop solar installations, eligibility provisions and the application process.
TPSODL said the initiative is aimed at taking information about the scheme directly to people and encouraging greater participation in rooftop solar adoption across the district.
