Jeypore,Aug 27 [UDN}: An unusual manifestation of divinity in the lap of nature has become a major attraction for devotees travelling to Gupteswar in Koraput district. Near Gelaguda, along the road from Baipariguda to Gupteswar, a naturally formed shape resembling Lord Ganesha can be seen on the trunk of a roadside tree. Devotees have come to know this unique natural formation as “Shri Vriksha Vinayak.”
According to local residents and worshippers, the Ganesha-like shape suddenly became visible on the tree around 15 years ago. Since then, local people have been offering prayers and performing rituals at the spot. Over the years, the place has gradually developed into a centre of faith and devotion.
The site attracts particular attention from devotees travelling to Gupteswar for darshan. Many pilgrims stop here for a while, seek the blessings of Vriksha Vinayak and offer prayers before continuing their journey towards the famous Gupteswar shrine.
Worshippers also claim that the Ganesha-like formation on the tree has gradually become more prominent with the passage of time, making the natural phenomenon even more intriguing. What began as an unusual shape noticed on a tree has now emerged as one of the attractions along the Gupteswar pilgrimage route.
The unique sight of what devotees regard as Lord Ganesha appearing through a natural tree formation evokes both faith and wonder among visitors. For many pilgrims, seeking the blessings of Shri Vriksha Vinayak before proceeding to Gupteswar has now become a cherished part of their journey.
