Umerkote , Aug 10 [UDN}: The Medical Road in Umerkote has been officially renamed after the renowned politician and freedom fighter Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee. From today onwards, the road will be known by its new name.
A nameplate commemorating the renaming of the road in honour of Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee was unveiled during a special ceremony. The initiative pays tribute to the contributions and legacy of Dr. Mukherjee, who was a prominent national leader, thinker, and social reformer.
The newly installed naming plaque marks the recognition of his role in Indian public life and his dedication to national causes. The Umerkote Medical Road will now carry his name as a symbol of respect and remembrance for future generations.
