Umerkote Set for Development Boost as School and Mass Education Minister Launches Foundation Work for Several Important Projects

Umerkote,Aug 8 [UDN}:  On Tuesday, Odisha’s School and Mass Education Minister Shri Nityananda Gond laid the foundation stones for several development projects in different wards of the Umerkote Municipality area.
The Minister inaugurated the foundation work of multiple projects, including an amphitheatre near the auditorium at Dangariguda in Ward No. 13, a signboard naming the road as Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee Road near Medical Chhak in Ward No. 10. It was informed that a statue of Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee will also be installed at the same location in the coming days.
Other projects for which foundation stones were laid include a cowshed (Gaushala) at Dangari Sahi in Ward No. 8 for the protection and care of cattle, and a cattle pound (Kanjhi House) on the Jagannath Temple Road in Ward No. 3. The Minister laid the foundation stones for various other developmental initiatives at different locations across the municipality.
The programme was attended by several dignitaries, including Minister Nityananda Gond’s representative Ashok Kumar Padhi, MP’s representative Bhojanath Gond, Umerkote Municipality Chairperson Radha Bhatra, Executive Officer of the Municipality Alok Kumar Anugulia, Mandal President Santosh Sharma, General Secretary Prabhat Kumar Nayak, senior advocate Ram Krishna Nayak, along with Mili Panda, Tinku Bhai, Sanu Bhai, Sudeb Nandi, Amit Halder, Papu Bhai, Ram Gond, Abhiram Das, Tribhuban Sahu, Minati Bhau, Archana Bhau, Gauri Didi and other party workers.
Officials and employees of the Umerkote Municipality were also present during the foundation stone-laying ceremony.
