Nabarangpur:July 15 [UDN}: An awareness and interaction programme for SHG and MSME representatives was organized on Thursday at the Zilla Parishad meeting hall in Nabarangpur by “India Post” (https://reference-url-citation.invalid/0). The programme focused on how entrepreneurs can use various postal services to expand the reach of their businesses.
Participants were informed that the postal department is no longer limited to delivering letters and parcels. It has now emerged as a reliable partner in helping rural entrepreneurs and Self-Help Groups (SHGs) grow their businesses.
During the event, the Postmaster General of the Berhampur Region, Colonel Vinod Kumar, IPoS, attended as the chief guest. He interacted directly with SHG and MSME entrepreneurs and provided detailed information about parcel services, logistics, Speed Post, savings schemes, and other postal services offered by the department.
He stated that by utilizing these services, local entrepreneurs would be able to send their products to different parts of the country and increase their profits and market reach.
Representatives of SHGs and MSMEs who attended the programme shared their experiences and raised several questions and concerns. The Postmaster General addressed all their queries and assured them of complete support from the postal department.
Officials emphasized that the primary objective is to connect local entrepreneurs with postal services and help them expand their markets and business opportunities across India.
On the occasion, three employees of the postal department were also felicitated for their outstanding performance and contribution to the organization.
