Nabarangpur, June 9:: A public grievance hearing camp was successfully conducted today at the Zilla Parishad Conference Hall in Nabarangpur under the joint chairmanship of District Collector Dr. Maheshwar Swain and Superintendent of Police Kashyap Partha Jagadish.
Among those present were Divisional Forest Officer Udayan Subuddhi, Additional District Magistrate Dr. Pramod Kumar Prusti, Chief Development Officer-cum-Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad Biranchi Narayan Darwan, Sub-Collector Prakash Kumar Mishra, along with all district-level departmental officers. They listened to the grievances of the public and took immediate steps toward their resolution.
A total of 28 applicants submitted grievance petitions during the camp. Out of these, 21 were related to individual issues, while 7 concerned village-level and collective problems. Of the total complaints received, 5 were resolved on the spot. The remaining grievances were forwarded to the concerned departments with instructions to resolve them within a stipulated timeframe.
The complaints mainly related to medical assistance, drinking water supply, road repairs, land disputes, drainage repairs, pension disbursement, and housing-related issues.
On this occasion, the District Social Security Department provided artificial limbs to six identified differently-abled beneficiaries.
The District Collector stated that the district administration is committed to ensuring the speedy resolution of public grievances.
