Act of Compassion: Bharasa Social Organisation Comes Forward to Assist Destitute Siblings Facing Difficult Circumstances

Mahanga, June 12:: In Koliatha Panchayat under Mahanga block, a poor man named Kailash Chandra Jena had been living in severe hardship while suffering from illness and raising his son and daughter. After Kailash’s death, his son Bikram Keshari Jena and daughter Dhangini Jena became completely helpless.
After the death of their parents, both siblings reportedly lost their mental stability and are suffering from serious illness, making them unable to work or earn a livelihood. They have been surviving in extreme distress.

Despite approaching the Panchayat, Block office, and Tahasil authorities with complaints and appeals for assistance, they did not receive any government help.

At this critical time, members of the “Bharasa” social service organization reached Koliatha village and provided the two siblings with ration supplies sufficient for a few months.

The support team included General Secretary Keshab Chandra Mohanty, Vice President S. Sheikh Jabir, Advisor Sudhanshu Sekhar Sahu, and members Prashant Kumar Panda, Rashmiranjan Bal, Manmohan Nayak, Prachi Bhushan Mohanty, Debashish Mohanty, along with local residents who were present on the occasion.
