Kotpad, June 8: World Environment Day was observed at the Kotpad Court premises under the aegis of the Taluk Legal Services Committee. The programme was held under the chairmanship of First Class Judicial Magistrate Trijib Kumar Nanda.
Members of the Kotpad Bar Association, Forest Department officials, and court staff participated in the programme and carried out tree plantation activities. After planting various species of trees within the court premises, the Magistrate instructed Ranger Manas Ranjan Nayak to conduct a count and maintain records of the number and types of trees present in the area.
Among those present at the programme were Bar Association President Mani Prasad Patnaik, former president Pankaj Kumar Patra, Jitendra Nath Mahapatra, Pradeep Bakshi, Shankar Panda, Vice-President Mukteswar Nayak, Secretary Ajit Pattnaik, Ajit Patra, Sangram Jena, Chinmaya Sadangi, Lingaraj Nayak, Ghanashyam Bishoi, Forester Sudeepta Nayak, along with other staff members.
