Baipariguda , July 4 {UDN}: An extensive anti-drug awareness campaign was successfully organized across various locations in Baipariguda under the powerful slogan, “Our Resolve – Choose Life, Not Addiction.” The initiative aimed to educate people about the harmful effects of substance abuse and encourage them to adopt a healthy, addiction-free lifestyle.
During the campaign, the Jeypore Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) interacted with the public and highlighted the devastating physical, mental, social, and economic consequences of drug and alcohol addiction. He urged citizens, especially the younger generation, to stay away from intoxicating substances and contribute towards building a safer, healthier, and drug-free society.
As part of the awareness drive, the Baipariguda Police organized several activities to spread the message against substance abuse. Awareness sessions were conducted to educate local residents about the importance of preventing addiction and protecting families and communities from its adverse effects.
Special emphasis was placed on sensitizing students of the local high school. The police educated them about the dangers of drug addiction, encouraging them to make responsible choices and become ambassadors of awareness within their families and neighborhoods.
The campaign also witnessed enthusiastic participation from local youth and villagers, who collectively took a pledge to remain free from addiction and to support the mission of creating a drug-free Baipariguda. The oath reaffirmed their commitment to choosing a healthy, productive, and meaningful life over substance abuse.
The initiative reflects the proactive efforts of the Baipariguda Police to combat addiction through awareness, community participation, and preventive education, reinforcing the message that life should always be chosen over addiction.
