Nabarangpur,June 6: (Kalinga Samaj) A newly established Bazaar Branch Post Office was inaugurated today at the Municipal Council office premises in Nabarangpur district by Hon’ble MLA of Nabarangpur and Chairman of the District Planning Board, Gouri Shankar Majhi.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Majhi said that the expansion of postal services in rural areas would make postal, banking, insurance, and various government services more easily accessible to the general public. He added that the new facility would greatly benefit local traders, farmers, and students.
According to officials of the Postal Department, the Branch Post Office will provide services such as Speed Post, Registered Post, Money Order, Postal Life Insurance, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, and India Post Payments Bank facilities.
Local public representatives, postal department employees, and residents attended the inauguration ceremony. Everyone expressed happiness over the introduction of this new public service facility.
The Bazaar Branch Post Office has become operational for the general public from today.
Among those present at the inauguration programme were Municipal Council Chairman Kunu Nayak, Municipal Executive Officer Dr. Ashok Karna, Postal Superintendent of Jeypore Satyabadi Biswal, Postmaster Jitendra Kumar Bishoi, and Sub-Divisional Information and Public Relations Officer Satya Narayan Pradhan.
