Dasmantpur, July 28 UDN}:: A unique and heartwarming scene was witnessed in Bageipadara village under Gadiaguda Gram Panchayat of Dasmantpur Block. Niladri Suna, who had been working at the Gunupur ITDA office, became an inspiration to others by distributing clothes among villagers after retiring from his service.
On Sunday, Mr. Suna distributed pants and shirts to elderly people, young men, and children, while sarees were presented to women in his ancestral village, Bageipadara. After distributing the clothes, he received the blessings and goodwill of the villagers.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Suna said that although he had earned a considerable amount of money during his professional life, he had not been able to devote enough time to others because of his work commitments. He said that the people of the village where he had grown up since childhood were like his extended family.
Niladri Suna also recalled that after his father passed away when he was young, he had grown up with his mother, two sisters, and his brother Ramesh Chandra Suna.
Meanwhile, villagers including Hari Garada, Ajit Garada, Kishore Chandra Khara, Jalmi Dongari, and Surendra Khara praised Niladri Suna’s initiative, saying that his decision to distribute clothes among the villagers after retirement had set an inspiring example for others to follow.
