Malkangiri: Sept 29 [UDN}:A TEJAS workshop, organised by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), was successfully conducted at the Government ITI in Malkangiri in the presence of the District Collector and other distinguished guests.
The workshop focused on encouraging grassroots-level innovation, entrepreneurship and startup development in Tier-2 and Tier-3 regions, with the broader objective of contributing to the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
The programme brought together aspiring entrepreneurs, innovators and representatives associated with various startup and entrepreneurship initiatives. Participants from Startup India, Startup Odisha, GIET University (GIETU) and other entrepreneurial organisations attended the workshop and took part in the discussions.
The TEJAS initiative seeks to create greater awareness about innovation and entrepreneurship opportunities beyond major urban centres and encourage young people to transform local ideas and challenges into viable solutions and enterprises.
The workshop also highlighted the importance of strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem in districts such as Malkangiri by providing aspiring innovators with exposure, guidance and opportunities to connect with relevant startup-support platforms.
Officials and participants discussed the need to promote innovation at the grassroots level and create an environment where young people can develop their ideas, explore entrepreneurship and contribute to local economic development.
The programme was supported by the Information & Public Relations Department, Government of Odisha, and the Skill Development and Technical Education Department. The initiative is expected to further strengthen awareness of startup and innovation opportunities among youth in the region and encourage greater participation in the country’s growing entrepreneurship ecosystem.
