Bhubaneswar,June 19: {UDN}: The Urban Development Minister has reacted to the new rental housing policy, stating that the government has introduced this policy to provide affordable rental accommodation.
A large number of people are migrating to the state capital, but many are unable to find rental housing. As a result, slum settlements are increasing. To prevent the growth of slums, the government plans to provide adequate housing facilities.
The government will also construct houses under housing schemes and make them available on rent. According to the minister, rental housing projects will be developed across all urban areas.
In addition, unused or vacant houses will be identified and offered to people at affordable rental rates.
