Nabarangpur: Sept 21 [UDN}:The 76th General Council meeting of the Koraput Central Cooperative Bank was held in Nabarangpur, with detailed discussions focusing on the bank’s future development, introduction of new loan policies and improvement of services for its members and beneficiaries.
During the meeting, several important proposals concerning infrastructure development, new credit facilities and customer-oriented banking services were discussed. A budget of approximately ₹2 crore was approved for the construction of a new branch building of the bank in Nabarangpur, marking an important step towards strengthening the bank’s infrastructure and expanding its services in the district.
The meeting also discussed a range of new loan policies aimed at meeting the changing financial requirements of members and customers. The proposed facilities include housing loans, agricultural term loans, loans against property and other mortgage-based credit facilities. Loan facilities for the purchase of electric vehicles (EVs) were also discussed as part of the proposed expansion of the bank’s lending services.
The management emphasised the need to provide members and shareholders with modern, competitive and customer-friendly banking services comparable to those available through nationalised and other commercial banks. The objective is to ensure that the benefits of the new policies and financial products reach eligible members and beneficiaries effectively.
Various proposals relating to the bank’s future growth, new credit schemes, infrastructure expansion and improvement of banking services were also taken up for discussion during the meeting.
Bank President Ishwar Chandra Panigrahi, Vice-President Duruputa Sabitara and Director Ramakanta Raul, along with other members of the Board of Directors, were present at the meeting.
