Bhubaneswar:Sept 24 [UDN}: Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) Prem Jha reached Nandankanan Zoological Park on Wednesday to review the condition of five orangutans housed at the zoo.
During his visit, PCCF Prem Jha is expected to assess the health and overall well-being of all five orangutans. The visit comes amid the ongoing monitoring of the animals and efforts to ensure their proper care and management.
Following discussions with the technical committee, a recommendation report will be prepared based on the team’s assessment. The report is expected to guide the authorities on the further course of action concerning the orangutans.
Officials indicated that the next steps will be taken after receiving the green signal and recommendations from the technical team. The inspection is therefore expected to provide clarity on the animals’ present condition and the measures required for their continued health and welfare.
