Bhubaneswar, April 23: A Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) will be introduced to ensure the safety of government employees engaged in the census. In this regard, the Revenue Minister, Suresh Pujari, convened a meeting with revenue and census officials.
He stated that conducting a door-to-door census is a challenging task. The ongoing heatwave has emerged as another major concern, with reports of some employees falling ill. There have also been incidents of attacks on certain officials during the census process.
The Revenue Minister emphasized that ensuring the safety of both government staff and the public is a significant responsibility. He added that discussions have been held with the Home Secretary and the Director General of Police regarding the attacks.
