Odisha Braces for Another Spell of Heavy Rain from August 22 as Fresh Bay of Bengal System Triggers Rainfall

Bhubaneswar,  Aug 22 [UDN}:Rainfall activity is expected to increase across Odisha from tomorrow, with an active cyclonic circulation prevailing over the north Odisha coast. The weather system is likely to bring widespread rainfall across the state from August 24 to 27.
The Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts are likely to experience very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall, raising concerns over waterlogging and localized flooding in vulnerable areas.
In view of the possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall, an Orange Alert has been issued for northern Odisha. Residents in the affected areas have been advised to remain alert and follow official weather advisories.
