Nabarangpur:June 6: – Today, at the Ashok Meheta Conference Hall in Nabarangpur, a District Level Coordination Committee meeting related to the third phase of the 11th Agricultural Census was held under the chairmanship of Additional District Magistrate (Revenue), Biswajit Chandra Barman.
After approval, the collected data will be sent to the Central Government for effective planning and policy formulation for agricultural development. In order to obtain reliable and comprehensive agricultural data in Nabarangpur district, the survey under the third phase of the Agricultural Census was conducted based on the reference year 2022–23. It included information such as the number of farmers, land holding size, use of fertilizers and pesticides, crop insurance, soil health, agricultural mechanization, seeds, irrigation facilities, farmers’ income, classification of farmers (marginal, small, and medium), livestock, fisheries and horticulture farmers, and agricultural credit, among others.
The third phase survey was conducted in 67 selected sample villages and was completed on 14.10.2025. The Assistant Director (Planning), Aishwarya Bhanj, conducted the session and presented the data through a slideshow.
The meeting was attended by DD, DPMU Jayantimala Nayak, CDAO Sudhir Ranjan Behera, CDVO Dr. Ramesh Chandra Behera, DDH Subrat Mohanty, DPRO Manoj Behera, DRC Sharat Chandra Panigrahi, ADH Shubhendu Biswas, ADVO Dilip Kumar Kabiraj, and other officials.
