Koraput: Sept 24 [UDN}:The ‘Seva Hi Sankalp’ campaign, conducted under the supervision of the Koraput district administration, has been successfully organised across the district with active participation from women’s groups.
As part of the campaign, a diyas (earthen lamps) lighting programme was held at the Jagannath Temple with the cooperation of the Mission Shakti Department. Members of various Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and Subhadra Shakti participated in the initiative and contributed to the large-scale lighting programme.
According to the district administration, a total of 3,37,285 diyas were lit across Koraput district by members of SHGs and Subhadra Shakti. The initiative showcased the collective participation of women’s groups and highlighted the spirit of service, community involvement and social commitment.
The successful completion of the campaign was seen as a significant community mobilisation effort under the guidance of the district administration, with Mission Shakti groups playing an important role in making the programme a success.
