Nabarangpur, April 18:: The 61st Shaurya Diwas was observed at the CRPF 12 Battalion campus in Nabarangpur.
On this occasion, under the presence of Commandant N.K.K. Prasad, Deputy Commandant Rajeev Kumar, Assistant Commandant Srinivas Rao, Inspector Sujit Kumar, P.K. Sahu, Sub-Inspector Banda Namdeo, and all personnel of the 12 Battalion paid tribute to the martyrs.
Constable Vijay Kumar Harijan was martyred on April 16, 2009, while fighting Maoists in Murki village of Dantewada district, Chhattisgarh. He was the son of Hemalata Harijan and Budhan Harijan.
Remembering the sacrifice of martyr Vijay Kumar Harijan, tributes were paid to him. Commandant N.K.K. Prasad honored his parents by presenting them with garlands and gifts as a mark of respect.
