Bhubaneswar, Aug 20 [UDN}:A half-day In-Service Training Programme on “Burnout Syndrome at the Workplace, Emotional Well-being and Stress Management” was organised by the Commissionerate Police, Bhubaneswar–Cuttack, at the conference hall of the CP Headquarters in Bhubaneswar.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr. S. Dev Dutt Singh, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar–Cuttack, in the presence of Shri Swaraj Devata, OPS-I, Addl. DCP, Special Crime Unit, Bhubaneswar–Cuttack.
During the session, trainer Ms. Prachi Lalana Mishra, Corporate Mental Health Advisor & Wellness Coach/Consultant, discussed work-related stress in policing, its causes, symptoms, warning signs and preventive measures. Training was also provided on practical approaches to emotional well-being and stress management, including breathing exercises, relaxation and recovery, mindfulness meditation, guided breathing, self-awareness, gratitude practices and value-based leadership.
The key objective of the training was to enhance stress management, emotional resilience and overall well-being among police personnel, thereby building a healthier, more balanced and more effective police force.
