State on High Alert After Low-Pressure System Brings Risk of Torrential Rain, District Authorities Asked to Stay Prepared

Bhubaneswar,  July 5 {UDN}:  The state government has issued a high alert and activated a 24-hour Control Room in view of the worsening weather situation. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur in several parts of the state.

Authorities have urged residents in vulnerable areas to remain alert and follow official advisories.

Emergency response teams have been kept on standby to handle any flood or rain-related incidents.

District administrations are closely monitoring the situation and coordinating rescue and relief measures.

People are advised to avoid unnecessary travel, stay away from waterlogged areas, and keep emergency contact numbers handy
