Bhubaneswar, July 8 {UDN}: In a significant move to strengthen disaster response and emergency management infrastructure, the government has announced the construction of a modern Disaster Management Building at an estimated cost of ₹180 crore. The project aims to enhance coordination and preparedness during natural calamities and emergencies.
The new facility is expected to be equipped with advanced communication systems, monitoring centers, and emergency response infrastructure. Authorities have set a target to complete the construction within one and a half years. Once operational, the building will play a crucial role in improving disaster mitigation, response, and rehabilitation efforts across the region.
