Victory for Sadar Police as They Lift Champions Trophy in Jeypore Friendly Cricket Tournament

Jeypore, April. 24:  Under the leadership of District Superintendent of Police Rohit Verma, a triangular cricket series was आयोजित at the Jeypore Dussehra Ground. Three teams participated in the tournament—Jeypore Town Police, Jeypore Sadar Police, and Baipariguda Police.
In the उद्घाटन match, Baipariguda Police, captained by SP Rohit Verma, faced Jeypore Town Police led by SDPO Archita Mittal. Batting first, Baipariguda scored 62 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 10 overs. In reply, Jeypore Town chased down the target by scoring 63 runs for 5 wickets, winning the match by 1 wicket.
In the second match, Baipariguda scored 67 runs for 5 wickets. Jeypore Sadar Police successfully chased the target in just 7.5 overs, scoring 68 runs with 5 wickets in hand.
In the final match, Jeypore Sadar Police batted first and posted 84 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 10 overs. Jeypore Town Police failed to reach the target, managing only 64 runs for 7 wickets in their 10 overs. As a result, Jeypore Sadar Police won the match by 20 runs and lifted the Champions Trophy, while Jeypore Town Police finished as runners-up.
On this occasion, SP Rohit Verma stated that the friendly tournament was organized to ensure physical fitness of police personnel during the summer season and to strengthen team spirit.
Among those present were Additional SP Abhishek Panigrahi, IPS Probationer K. B. Ramasadan, SDPO Archita Mittal, Town Police Station Officer Ullas Chandra Raut, and Sadar Police Station Officer Sachindra Kumar Pradhan.
