Community Blood Donation Drive Organized in Jharigaon Yields 34 Units to Support Healthcare Services

Jharigaon:April 23:   A voluntary blood donation camp was organized at the Community Health Centre in Jharigaon under the joint initiative of the block administration and Ama Odisha.
The camp was inaugurated in the presence of Block Development Officer Madhusudan Majhi, Medical Officer Aravinda Panda, Dr. Santosh Pradhan, CDPO Biraj Mohini Pangi, Forester Sushant Kumar Singh, ABEO Dasharath Gond, PHEO Surendra Kumar Sahu, SI Laxmikant Dora, BPM Jagannath Mishra, and GPDO Subash Dhali, among others.
A total of 34 units of blood were collected during the camp. The collection was carried out by staff from the Umerkote Blood Bank, including Shashikant Palai, Hemant Kumar Nayak, Dibyanshu Gantayat, and Navindra Kumar Sethi.
Volunteers such as Sasmita Parida, Pragya Sahu, Abhijit Mahanti, Sushant Pahadi, Yashbasini Sahu, Pankajini Majhi, Kesari Majhi, and Jiban Chandra Santa managed the registration process.
At the end of the program, officials including BDO Madhusudan Majhi, Medical Officer Aravinda Panda, CDPO Biraj Mohini Pangi, and others distributed certificates to the blood donors.
The event was coordinated by Ama Odisha Block Coordinator Ramesh Pattnaik. Several individuals and volunteers actively encouraged donors, while ASHA workers like Kabita Kuldeep, Santosi Hantal, Dalimba Bisoi, Braja Kishori Panda, and Jemamani Behera extended support.
The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from numerous donors, reinforcing the message: “Blood donors are life savers.”
