Malkangiri, July 9 [UDN}: A District-Level Public Grievance Hearing Camp was successfully organized at the Markapalli Gram Panchayat office premises under Malkangiri Block. The camp was attended by the District Collector, Superintendent of Police, Divisional Forest Officer, and officials from various government departments, who listened to the grievances of local residents and initiated immediate measures for their resolution.
During the visit, the District Collector toured several areas of Markapalli Panchayat to assess the implementation of various government welfare schemes at the grassroots level. The Collector inspected the Markapalli Government Upper Primary School, the Model Anganwadi Centre, and the Pragati Pathe Yuva Malkangiri Centre, reviewing their infrastructure, functioning, and service delivery.
The Collector also visited the Guruppriya Tailoring Producer Group Centre at Podabhatta, operating under the Odisha Livelihoods Mission, where interaction was held with self-reliant women associated with the initiative. Later, inspections were carried out at the Model Anganwadi Centre and Primary School in Kaudiguda, as well as Sindrimal School, with special emphasis on infrastructure and drinking water facilities.
As part of the field visit, the District Collector interacted with teachers, students, and local villagers to understand their concerns firsthand. Assuring the community of prompt action, the Collector reaffirmed the district administration’s commitment to resolving public issues and strengthening the implementation of development and welfare programmes across the region.
