Key Development Initiatives and Community Service Priorities Were Finalised During the Joint Directors’ Meeting of the Rotary Club of Phulbani.

Phulbani, July 9 [UDN}:: The Rotary Club of Phulbani (District 3262, Charter No. 16055) convened a Joint Directors’ Meeting at its club conference hall to finalize its roadmap for the 2026–27 Rotary year.
The meeting was chaired by President Prakash Panda and attended by current Rotary Club President and senior advocate Bijay Krishna Pattnaik, Secretary and Press Club President Sunil Pattnaik, along with the club’s directors. The leadership presented a detailed month-wise action plan, outlining the activities to be undertaken during the year and the estimated expenditure for each programme.
Former President and Director Sarbeswar Mishra advised the new leadership to intensify service initiatives for the poor, underprivileged, and marginalized sections of Kandhamal district. He stressed that the club should continue expanding its humanitarian outreach.
The club announced that it plans to organize nearly 30–40 community service programmes during 2026–27. These will focus on tree plantation, forest conservation, healthcare, environmental protection, education, safe drinking water, and a state-level marathon, among other public welfare initiatives. President Bijay Krishna Pattnaik and Secretary Sunil Pattnaik appealed to all Rotary members to extend wholehearted support for the successful implementation of these programmes.
Among those present were Rotarians Padma Charan Swain, Sarat Kumar Subuddhi, Balaji Patra, Manoranjan Pattnaik, K. Ravi Narayan Subuddhi, Prashant Kumar Panigrahi, Pawan Agrawal, and Biraja Nahak.
On the occasion of the club’s 45th Charter Day, founding member K. Ravi Narayan Subuddhi attended as the chief guest and wished the club continued success and growth. He recalled the early days of the club’s establishment and shared its journey of development. Senior members and former presidents, including Prashant Kumar Panigrahi and K. Gyan Dora, also briefed members about the club’s principles, traditions, and service-oriented activities.
The meeting reaffirmed the Rotary Club’s commitment to strengthening community service and expanding its social welfare initiatives across the district in the coming year.
