Nabarangpur, July 9 (UDN): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has formally launched its campaign for the forthcoming Panchayat elections, choosing Nabarangpur, traditionally regarded as a Congress stronghold, as the starting point of its statewide rural outreach programme.
Senior BJP leaders and party workers participated in the campaign launch, outlining the party’s strategy to strengthen its grassroots presence and expand its organisational network across rural Odisha. The campaign will focus on reaching voters at the village level, highlighting the government’s development initiatives and mobilising support ahead of the local body polls.
Addressing party workers, BJP leaders expressed confidence about improving the party’s electoral performance in rural areas and emphasised the importance of booth-level organisation and public engagement. They also called upon workers to intensify outreach efforts and communicate the party’s vision for rural development and good governance.
The decision to begin the campaign from Nabarangpur is being viewed as a strategic move aimed at consolidating the BJP’s presence in regions that have traditionally supported the Congress, signalling an intensified political contest in the run-up to the Panchayat elections.
The party is expected to roll out similar outreach programmes in other districts as part of its statewide election campaign in the coming weeks.
