Bhubaneswar, Aug 5 [UDN}:The Intelligent Enforcement Management System (IEMS) will come into effect across Odisha from tomorrow, introducing an automated e-challan collection system for traffic violations.
In the first phase, the IEMS system will be implemented on four major highways of the state. The highways covered under this initiative include:
Manguli–Sambalpur Highway
Sambalpur–Rourkela Highway
Berhampur–Taptapani Highway
Berhampur–Bhanjanagar Highway
The new system, scheduled to become operational from August 1, will use intelligent technology to monitor traffic violations and streamline the process of issuing and collecting e-challans. The move aims to improve road safety, ensure better enforcement of traffic rules, and bring more transparency and efficiency to traffic management across the state.
