
Bhubaneswar, Nov 9: The Odisha government has greenlit 15 new industrial projects that are set to create 4,637 new job opportunities, according to official sources. These projects span a range of industries, including chemicals, renewable energy, steel, aluminium, and food processing.
Among the notable projects, Reliance Bio Energy Limited will invest ₹121.21 crore to set up a compressed bio-gas and organic manure plant in Puri, which will generate 69 jobs.
In the steel sector, Beekay Steel Industries Limited is set to expand its operations in Cuttack with a ₹750 crore investment, involving the construction of sponge iron, billets, ferro alloys, sinter plants, and a captive power plant. This expansion is expected to create 800 new jobs.
The aluminium sector is also poised for growth, with HM Power and Cables Private Limited investing ₹55.72 crore in a plant for aluminium conductors, power cables, and wires in Jharsuguda, which will result in 205 job opportunities.
Additionally, Nexthermal Asia Private Limited will set up a heating element manufacturing unit in Khurda with an investment of ₹55.81 crore, providing 132 jobs.
These projects are part of the state’s ongoing efforts to drive industrial growth, attract investment, and create employment across various sectors.
