OSSC Releases CPGLRE-2025 Main Exam Schedule for Specialist Posts; Admit Cards Available from August 4

Bhubaneswar, Aug. 4 (UDN): The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) has announced the detailed timetable for the Main Written Examination of the Combined Post Graduate Level Recruitment Examination (CPGLRE)-2025 for Specialist Posts and Services. The computer-based recruitment examination (CBRE) will be conducted in Bhubaneswar on August 10 and 11, 2026.

The examination is being held under Advertisement No. 5915/OSSC dated December 30, 2025, in continuation of the Commission’s notification issued on July 4, 2026.

Examination Schedule

The examination will be held in multiple shifts for various specialist posts, including Teacher Educators, Art Education Instructors, and Physical Education Instructors.

August 10, 2026

First Shift (10:00 am – 12:00 noon):
Technical Paper-I for Teacher Educators in Foundation Course, Science, History, Geography, Economics, Political Science, Mathematics, Odia, and English.
Separate technical papers for Art Education Instructor and Physical Education Instructor.
Second Shift (3:00 pm – 5:00 pm):
Technical Paper-II for Teacher Educators in Political Science, English, Mathematics, Geography, and History.

August 11, 2026

First Shift (10:00 am – 12:00 noon):
Technical Paper-II (Foundation Course).
Second Shift (3:00 pm – 5:00 pm):
Technical Paper-II for Teacher Educators in Science, Odia, and Economics.
Reporting Time and Entry

Candidates appearing in the morning session must report by 8:00 am, while those scheduled for the afternoon session should reach the venue by 1:00 pm. Entry gates will close at 9:30 am and 2:30 pm, respectively, and late entry will not be permitted.

Exam Pattern

For Teacher Educator posts, each technical paper will carry 100 marks, comprising 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) of one mark each. A negative marking of 0.25 marks will be applicable for every incorrect response.

For Art Education Instructor and Physical Education Instructor posts, the paper will carry 200 marks with 100 MCQs worth two marks each. A 0.5-mark deduction will be made for every wrong answer.

Admit Cards

OSSC has informed candidates that admit cards are available for download from August 4, 2026, through the official OSSC website using their login credentials. Applicants have been advised to download their hall tickets well in advance and regularly check the Commission’s website for updates.

Special Instructions

Candidates belonging to the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category will be provided 20 minutes of compensatory time for every hour of examination, in accordance with the prescribed guidelines.

Additionally, candidates appearing for the Art Education Instructor examination must select one special subject based on their academic qualification. The available options are Visual Art, Performing Art (Dance), Performing Art (Odissi and Hindustani Music), and Performing Art (Drama). OSSC has advised candidates to exercise this option carefully while taking the examination.
