Koraput Administration Accelerates School Improvement Efforts as Collector Conducts Review of Education Progress and Infrastructure Works

Koraput , Aug 4 [UDN}:A district-level education review meeting of the School and Mass Education Department, along with a separate review of ongoing construction works under the Samagra Shiksha programme, was held today under the chairmanship of the District Collector of Koraput.

The meeting focused on evaluating the overall progress of educational activities across the district, assessing the implementation of various government initiatives in schools, and reviewing the status of infrastructure development projects being carried out under Samagra Shiksha.

During the meeting, officials discussed important aspects related to improving the quality of education, strengthening school facilities, ensuring effective implementation of educational schemes, and addressing challenges faced by schools at the grassroots level. The Collector reviewed key indicators such as student enrollment, attendance, learning outcomes, availability of basic amenities, teacher-related issues, and the progress of various academic programmes.

A detailed assessment was also conducted regarding the construction and renovation works undertaken through Samagra Shiksha, including school building improvements, additional classrooms, repair and maintenance works, boundary walls, toilets, drinking water facilities, and other essential infrastructure projects. Officials were instructed to ensure that all ongoing works are completed within the stipulated timelines while maintaining quality standards.

The District Collector emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts among all concerned departments, education officers, and field-level officials to provide a better learning environment for students across Koraput district. The officials were directed to closely monitor the implementation of educational schemes and take necessary steps for the overall development of school education.

Senior officials from the Education Department, district administration, Samagra Shiksha authorities, and other concerned departments attended the meeting and presented updates on the progress of various initiatives and projects. The meeting concluded with directions for improving educational outcomes and accelerating infrastructure development in schools throughout the district.
