Cuttack: Sept 4 [UDN}: In a major step towards strengthening traffic law enforcement and improving road safety, authorities in Cuttack are set to take strict action against people who violate traffic rules. Motorists and other road users who break traffic regulations will no longer find it easy to escape detection, as advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered cameras will monitor traffic movements and automatically identify violations.
The AI-enabled camera system will be capable of detecting various traffic offences and recording evidence of violations. Once a traffic rule violation is detected, the system can help initiate the process of issuing an e-challan against the offender. The use of AI technology is expected to make traffic monitoring more efficient, accurate, and continuous.
The new system aims to discourage motorists from violating important road safety rules. Drivers and riders are therefore advised to strictly follow traffic regulations, including wearing helmets and seat belts where required, obeying traffic signals, avoiding overspeeding, and following other prescribed road safety norms.
With AI cameras keeping a close watch on traffic violations, offenders may find it increasingly difficult to avoid penalties. The technology-driven enforcement system is expected to bring greater discipline to the roads and contribute to safer and more orderly traffic management in Cuttack.
In short, traffic rule violators will get no relief—AI-powered cameras will detect violations and ensure that challans are issued against offenders.
