Ayushman Card to Cover Tests Conducted Before Hospital Admission: Dr. Mukesh Mahaling

Bhubaneswar,  June 6:  Health check-ups conducted within three days prior to a patient’s hospital admission will be covered under the Ayushman Card scheme. Strict action will be taken against any hospital found violating the guidelines, said Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Mukesh Mahaling.

At a review meeting on the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) and Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana held at the Lok Seva Bhavan conference hall, an important discussion was conducted with the authorities of all empanelled private hospitals. Hospitals were instructed to establish health desks for the convenience of patients.
