Patna,June 6:: In February, at the India International Star Film Festival held in Kolkata, the Odia film 1999 became the runner-up in the Feature Film category. Along with this, it was also promoted to the semi-final group at the World Film Festival held in Cannes, France.
An Odia film receiving appreciation abroad is certainly a matter of great pride. Dr. Manoj Kumar Mishra is not only the producer of this film but also its story writer, lyricist, dialogue writer, and actor.
It is noteworthy that 1999 is considered the first “single-number/Vivic-title” film in the Odia film industry. Besides this, Dr. Mishra has written 37 books within six years. He has so far written 1,115 poems and 365 short stories in both Odia and English.
In addition, he has authored six Advanced English and Grammar books for the convenience of Odia readers. At present, Dr. Manoj Mishra is serving as the director of a hospital in Bhubaneswar.
People of Keonjhar district have expressed happiness over his success. It is also informed that Dr. Mishra is a resident of Rajnagar village in Patna block.
