Malkangiri, May 15: Under the direct supervision of Malkangiri Collector Prathmesh Mhais Arvind Rajshirke, the “Mission Yantri” initiative has intensified efforts to develop Yantri Panchayat into a model panchayat. As part of this initiative, a Bhima Bhoi Disability Empowerment Camp was successfully organized today at the Yantri Upper Primary School premises under Chitrakonda Block.
The camp was conducted under the guidance of Haji Pal with the primary objective of ensuring that every eligible beneficiary in the panchayat receives the benefits of government welfare schemes. As the head of the district administration, the Collector has prepared a special developmental roadmap for the social and economic progress of the region.
Sub-Collector Duryodhan Bhoi attended the program as the chief guest. Other dignitaries present included District Social Security Officer Nirmal Dharua, DMO Dr. Nihar Ranjan Praharaj, Chitrakonda Block Development Officer Preeta Kumar, the Block Education Officer, CDPO, Yantri Sarpanch, all ward members, the block MP representative, and several other officials.
A total of 154 beneficiaries participated in the camp, which was organized to deliver government services directly to people’s doorsteps. Among them, 83 beneficiaries were provided with social security pensions. Additionally, assistance was extended after identifying:
24 persons with locomotor disabilities,
13 persons with intellectual disabilities,
12 visually impaired persons, and
22 persons with hearing and speech impairments.
The district administration reiterated its commitment to ensuring that no eligible beneficiary is deprived of government assistance. The initiative aims to bring smiles, empowerment, and inclusive development to every household in the region.
