Bhubaneswar: Sept 29 [UDN}:The Commissionerate Police bid a formal farewell to Bhubaneswar Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Jagmohan Meena, who has reportedly resigned from the Indian Police Service citing personal reasons.
A farewell felicitation programme was organised by the Commissionerate Police to honour the senior police officer for his service in the state capital. During the programme, colleagues and members of the police force conveyed their appreciation and extended their best wishes to him for the next phase of his life and career.
A 2013-batch Odisha-cadre IPS officer, Jagmohan Meena had been serving as the DCP of Bhubaneswar since March 2025. During his tenure, he was associated with several important policing and administrative initiatives in the capital city.
As the head of the Bhubaneswar police district, Meena was responsible for overseeing law-and-order arrangements, crime prevention and investigation, traffic-related policing, public safety measures and coordination among different units of the Commissionerate Police. His tenure also coincided with several major public events and security arrangements in Bhubaneswar, requiring extensive police deployment and administrative coordination.
The Commissionerate Police, while bidding him farewell, acknowledged his contribution during his tenure and conveyed its good wishes for his future endeavours.
His departure marks the end of his tenure as Bhubaneswar DCP, while further details regarding his resignation and the next administrative arrangements are awaited.
