Empowering Farmers Through Strategic Collaboration in Odisha

25th March 2025: Yesterday, at the Lokseva Bhavan, Odisha’s Honorable Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Kanak Bardhan Singh Deo, alongside Food and Consumer Welfare Minister Shri Krushna Chandra Patra, participated in a key event to promote agricultural growth in the state. The event marked the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Mission Shakti Department, Horticulture and Agriculture Department, the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, and PRADAN (Professional Assistance for Development Action).

This partnership aims to empower members of self-help groups by supporting agricultural production clusters across Odisha. The MOU outlines a plan to strengthen the livelihoods of farmers, providing them with the resources and expertise needed for sustainable development.

This collaboration underscores the government’s dedication to enhancing the agricultural sector and improving the economic well-being of farmers in Odisha. It is a step forward in ensuring long-term growth and stability for the state’s farming community.
