Bhubaneswar, Feb 5: At the ‘BRICS Youth Council Entrepreneurship Pre-Consultation Meet’ held at KIIT-TBI, Assembly Speaker Surama Padhy stressed the importance of investing in youth for Odisha’s future. Supported by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and the GCTC, the event brought together experts and aspiring entrepreneurs to discuss innovation and economic growth.
KIIT Vice-Chancellor Saranjit Singh announced an MBA program focused on entrepreneurship and innovation, highlighting Odisha’s potential in the blue economy. Over 700 students participated, with 160 presenting start-up ideas. Five top ideas were awarded ₹20,000 each.
GCTC’s Lt Gen Kamal Jit Singh (retd) noted India’s growing startup ecosystem, while KIIT-TBI CEO Mrutyunjay Suar highlighted the incubator’s role in creating over 10,000 jobs. The event underscored the transformative power of youth in shaping India’s future.
