Rasulpur,July 30 UDN}: The Rasulpur Block Environment Protection Sangram Samiti organised a tree plantation programme at the premises of the Mathasahi-Najapal Narayan Temple under the Rasulpur block.
The programme was attended by Kuakhia Police Station IIC Sushant Kumar Sethi as the chief guest. Other distinguished guests included Kuakhia Youth Club president Janmejaya Sahu, AAI Sudhanshu Sekhar Rout, youth organiser Debabrata Bhowt, temple management committee member Dhananjay Praharaj, cow protection volunteer Jashob Das, Chittaranjan Das, journalist Kalandicharan Kantha, Bikash Sahu, Abhimanyu Malik and Amar Malik, among others.
The guests and members of the organising committee planted various saplings, including Baula, Pesta, Krishnachuda, Sirisha and Chakunda, on the temple premises as part of the environmental protection initiative.
Local residents, including Dinabandhu Malik, Satya Sudhanshu Malik, Brajakishore Malik, Satyaprakash Das and Sagar Malik, extended their cooperation in successfully conducting the programme.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by convenor Kailash Majik.
