Maidlapur Witnesses Grand Nama Sankirtan Procession as Hundreds of Devotees Join in Prayer, Chanting, and Religious Celebrations

Papadahandi, June 18:  A grand Nama Sankirtan procession was organized on Monday at Maidlapur in Papadahandi block of Nabarangpur district by the Shri Shri Jagannath Nama Sankirtan Lok Kala Parishad. The procession started from the local Hanuman Shri Jagannath temple and proceeded up to the designated temple premises, creating a large devotional rally.

The streets of Maidlapur resonated with chants of “Hare Rama Hare Krishna” throughout the procession. Several prominent individuals, including Ashok Patra, Ramamohan Choudhury, Hindu Mahasangh National President Suryabanshi Jayant, and Bhavani Shankar Bisoyi, Rabindra Bishwasaray, and Gora Harijan, participated in the event.

On this occasion, a meeting was also held at the Garbharai Shiva Temple. The meeting was attended by Sub-Collector Prakash Mishra, Ashok Patra, Hindu Mahasangh National President Suryabanshi Jayant, former MP Parshuram Majhi, Papadahandi BDO Kapildev Sahu, advocate Shrikant Panda, along with prominent Nama Sankirtan gurus and members of the parishad.
During the meeting, a demand was raised to provide honorarium and formal recognition to Nama Sankirtan gurus and artists.
