Malkangiri, June 18: A special Joint Public Grievance Hearing Camp was successfully organized at the Korukonda Gram Panchayat office premises with the objective of resolving long-pending public issues and bringing administrative services closer to the people.
The high-level camp was chaired by Malkangiri District Collector Prathamesh Arvind Rajeshirke. Senior officials present included Superintendent of Police Vinod Patil H., Divisional Forest Officer Sai Kiran, Chief Development Officer-cum-Executive Officer Dasharath Sarabu, Sub-Collector Duryodhan Bhoi, and Block Chairman Jitu Burudi, who personally heard various grievances submitted by local residents.
Korukonda Block Development Officer Amulya Sahu coordinated the entire programme, while Assistant Collector Pritam Devata assisted in the management of the camp.
During the grievance redressal camp, residents submitted complaints and applications related to several important issues, including welfare schemes, government assistance, land disputes, ration cards, transportation, drinking water, and rural development. A total of 70 grievance petitions were registered.
Of these, 35 individual grievances related to pensions, housing, and medical assistance, while another 35 applications concerned community issues such as village roads, electricity supply, and overall rural development.
The administration resolved several sensitive cases on the spot and directed the concerned departmental officials to address the remaining issues within a stipulated timeframe.
Speaking on the occasion, Collector Rajeshirke stated that the district administration remains fully committed to serving the people and resolving their problems. He emphasized that ensuring transparent, fair, and timely redressal of every grievance is a primary objective of the administration so that no eligible beneficiary is deprived of government schemes and benefits.
He encouraged citizens to approach the administration without hesitation regarding their concerns, assuring them that the administration stands with the people at every level.
The residents of the Korukonda area highly appreciated the grievance redressal camp, noting that administrative officials personally visited the locality to understand and address public concerns directly.
