Memorandum Urges Government to Ensure Proper Rights, Reservation and Welfare Support for OBC Communities

Jharsuguda May 09:: Members of the Jharsuguda District OBC Forum submitted a memorandum demanding rights and entitlements for the OBC community.
Under the leadership of the district OBC Forum president and secretary, and in the presence of office bearers of the Lakhanpur Block OBC Forum, the memorandum was submitted to the Union Home Minister of India through the Tahasildar of Lakhanpur. The memorandum demanded the inclusion of a separate column for OBCs in the national census to ensure their rights and representation.
On this occasion, District OBC Forum President Biranchi Sahu, Secretary Gopinath Behera, along with Jhumai Lal Hati, Kishore Pradhan, Dileswar Pradhan, Satyananda Sahu, and several members of the OBC community were present and participated in the programme.
