Nabarangpur, July 22 UDN}:: Nabarangpur MLA and District Planning Board Chairman Gouri Shankar Majhi visited Sindhigaon Higher Secondary School in Nabarangpur block on Tuesday. During his visit, he reviewed the school’s educational system, infrastructure, and various problems faced by the students.
The MLA visited the classrooms and interacted freely with the students. He enquired about their studies, future aspirations, the school environment, and the difficulties they were facing. On the occasion, he also had lunch with the students, personally checking the quality of the mid-day meal, the serving arrangements, and cleanliness.
Later, the MLA held a meeting with the teachers and discussed various issues concerning the school in detail. The school provides education from Shishu Vatika to Plus Two. However, due to a shortage of classrooms, several students are reportedly being taught in the same room. Headmaster Markanda Satnami brought the issue to the MLA’s attention and requested the construction of additional classrooms.
The MLA assured the school authorities that necessary steps would be taken at the government level to strengthen the required infrastructure and address the school’s problems.
During the MLA’s visit, mid-day meal management teacher Umakanta Swain, Madhusmita Gantayat, M. Balaraju, and other teachers and staff members of the school were present.
